Itinerary:
Dag 1 - Let's go on an epic adventure!
Intercontinental flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and driver who will assist you with your luggage. You will be transferred to the Sanna Eco Lodge in Arusa where you will stay overnight on a bed and breakfast basis.
Dag 2 - Tarangire National Park
In the morning and afternoon you will explore Tarangire National Park. In the dry season, large herds of elephants burrow up the sandy riverbed in search of water. The area around the river is then a gathering place for all kinds of animals. It is one of the few places where gerenuk (giraffe antelope) and eland occur. The landscape of Tarangire is impressive because of the amount of huge baobab trees. Later in the evening you will drive to your lodge for the night.
Dag 3- Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will travel to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park, according to Ernest Hemingway, was one of the most beautiful parks he had seen in Africa. Although the park is not large, it is of unparalleled beauty. There are dense forests with tall trees, open plains with baobabs and rugged mountain peaks to the east. When a wild animal suddenly emerges from the vegetation, it gives the feeling of truly being in the wilderness. You will arrive at the Mawe Mawe Manyara Lodge for overnight accommodations on a full board basis.
Dag 4 - Lake Manyara National Park to Lake Natron
After breakfast at 8:00 am, travel to Lake Natron with a good view of the Rift Valley wall traversing the Maasai hamlet of Engaruka, where you can see Mt. Oldonyo Lengai (The Top of God), an active volcanic peak. Lake Natron is the favorite area for Flamingos and is a breeding ground for them due to the low number of opponents and the availability of sufficient food for the young. Later you will drive to your lodge at Lake Natron Safari Lodge for the night.
Dag 5 - Lake Natron to Serengeti National Park
Today you will drive to the shores of Lake Natron and take a walk around the lake before returning to the lodge and continuing to Serengeti National Park via Loliondo Game Controlled Area, where you will take an evening game drive in the northern part of the park. Later you will arrive at your lodge for the night
Dag 6- Explore Serengeti National Park
Today you will take an early morning game drive in the Serengeti. You have lunch at the Tented Camp, where you can enjoy the beautiful views. In the afternoon you will make another game drive in the Serengeti National Park. During your game drives you will see a huge variety of game. Serengeti is the largest game reserve in the world and of great scientific interest. The landscape is characterized by vast savannas and rocky 'kopjes'. These 'kopjes' are often used as lookouts by predators. The lion population is large, so you have a reasonable chance of encountering a pride. If you're lucky, you might also see a hunting cheetah or leopard. You'll spend the night at Into the Wild Serengeti Camp.
Dag 7 - Another full day game drive through Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Tented Lodge.
Dag 8 - Serengeti National Park naar Ngorongoro Crater
Get up early and travel 2-3 hours to the Ngorongoro Crater. You can take a game drive into the crater. This is the only place where you can see black rhinos and all the big game, including buffalo, elephants and lions. Lunch will be served at the picnic site on the crater floor. In the afternoon you will drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Dag 9 - Lake Eyasi Culture Tour
If you want to learn more about the Hadzabe tribe's way of life, visit Lake Eyasi. The existence of these traditional bushmen has enormous significance for the region. For example, you can choose to go hiking. Spend the day with the Hadzabe tribe. You can also visit the Datoga tribe. This tribe forges copper and aluminum into bracelets, knives and other utensils. They also trade these items with the Hadzabe. Later in the evening you will drive back to Arusha and on the way you will visit curio shops to buy your souvenirs.
Day 10 - Departure Day
After breakfast at the hotel, depending on your flight time, you may have time to explore or relax and wait for your transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home or to continue your vacation on Zanzibar. Please contact us for more information.
