Itinerary

Day 1-2: Into the Wild – Kruger National Park (530 km)
Your journey begins in Johannesburg, where you head north into the vast Lowveld. By late afternoon, you arrive at a private bush lodge within Greater Kruger, where animals roam freely. As night falls, the distant roar of lions and the symphony of the African bush lull you to sleep. The next day is all about adventure—early morning game walks and thrilling night drives in search of elusive predators.

Day 3:
The Scenic Panorama Route (195 km)
Today, the road winds through breathtaking scenery—the lush forests of Magoebaskloof, the towering cliffs of Blyde River Canyon, and the gold rush history of Pilgrim’s Rest. As you descend to Hazyview, your lodge awaits in a tranquil forest, where the Sabie River flows gently beneath the trees.

Day 4: A Day in Kruger National Park (30 km to park entrance)
A full day in one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves awaits. From the vantage point of your open safari vehicle, search for elephants, rhinos, and leopards. Each turn of the road holds new surprises, and by sunset, you’ll return to your lodge with stories of the wild.

Day 5-6: Kingdom of eSwatini (Swaziland) (290 km)
Crossing into the tiny, mountainous kingdom of eSwatini, you find yourself immersed in rich traditions and spectacular scenery. Wander through markets, meet artisans, and learn about this proud and ancient culture.

Day 7-8: Zululand & iSimangaliso Wetland Park (370 km)
Back in South Africa, the rolling hills of KwaZulu-Natal lead you to St Lucia, a town where hippos roam the streets at night. You’ll explore the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, where rhinos, buffalo, and crocodiles share a landscape of coastal dunes and pristine beaches.

Day 9-10: The Barrier of Spears – Drakensberg Mountains (480 km)
The road rises into the towering Drakensberg, South Africa’s highest mountain range. Over two days, hike through dramatic gorges, past waterfalls, and to the base of Tugela Falls, the world’s second-highest waterfall. Breathe in the fresh mountain air and let the epic scenery take your breath away.

Day 11-12: The Wild Coast – Coffee Bay (400 km)
A journey through the Eastern Cape’s hidden roads leads to the rugged Wild Coast. Here, rolling green hills meet dramatic cliffs and golden beaches. Hike to the legendary Hole in the Wall, a natural rock arch carved by the relentless ocean.

Day 13-14: Karoo Wilderness – Cradock & Addo Elephant Park (450 km + 250 km)
The landscape changes once more as you enter the vast Karoo, a semi-desert region steeped in history. A guided walking tour in Cradock brings the past to life, before moving on to Addo Elephant National Park, where massive herds of elephants roam.

Day 15: The Garden Route – Tsitsikamma & Knysna (280 km)
The lush forests and rocky shores of Tsitsikamma National Park are your playground today. Walk across the famous Storms River suspension bridge, then continue to Knysna, a charming town surrounded by lagoons and forests.

Day 16: Cape Agulhas – The Southernmost Tip of Africa (380 km)
The journey south leads to Cape Agulhas, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Stand at the continent’s edge before retiring to your lodge near the coastline.

Day 17-18:
The Mother City – Cape Town (280 km)
Following the spectacular Whale Route through Hermanus, you reach Cape Town, one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Explore its cultural gems, from the penguins at Boulders Beach to the vibrant streets of the city center. Your journey ends the next morning, but Cape Town’s magic lingers long after you leave.
